MARCH 17, 2020
COVID 19 – Idyllwild Area Shuttle Service is limiting the Monday and Wednesday off-the-hill service to medical appointments only.
Tuesday and Thursday on-the-hill service is to remain the same.
The exception for both is that all riders must wear face masks and use sanitary hand wipes each time before boarding the shuttle.
Let us hope that the COVID 19 virus disappears soon! Stay safe!!
Good news! The Idyllwild Shuttle schedule has been expanded, thanks to additional grant funding from The Idyllwild Community Fund and from Supervisor Washington’s office, and through generous contributions from the community.
Our Tuesday and Thursday schedule has been expanded from the hours of 10am to 2pm to 10am to 4pm.
Mountain Center Food Share
On Thursdays we now offer transportation to the Food Share in Mountain Center.
Riders meet at the Idyllwild Help Center at noon and are returned to the Help Center at approximately 2pm.
Space is limited, and reservations are required. Call the driver at (951) 426-9688 on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.
Volunteers in Idyllwild wear many hats!
On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, Forest Folk, Inc. hosted a “Thank You” pizza party at the home of President Angela Colson. Representatives from several volunteer groups attended:
A roundtable discussion included an update by Will Steichen, Town Hall Executive Manager. He shared plans of hoped for Town Hall activities once the renovation is completed.
Mayor Max and his handler, Idyllwild’s new EMax winner, Phyllis Mueller, also made an appearance.
Let us have continue gatherings of our many dedicated volunteers. There is indeed “strength in numbers”.
